Anxiety is a serious problem that many individuals experience. Anxiety before public speaking, social anxiety, or anxiety when you are alone can trigger problems like reduced sleep quality, low mood, and stress. An effective way to help yourself is to use CBD oil for anxiety.

If you didn’t know, CBD is an active compound found in the cannabis plant that has healing properties to help individuals with stress, arthritis, sleep issues, and many more ailments in the modern world.

CBD comes in many forms – oils, capsules, gummies, etc. However, Oil is the most versatile form of CBD, and many prefer to use it.

CBD and The Endocannabinoid System

The ECS The ECS

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a cell signaling system , present throughout the brain and body.

ECS consists of:

  • Endocannabinoids – Anandamide and 2- AG
  • Receptors (CB1 and CB2)
  • Enzyems

The ECS not only helps with anxiety but also influences many important functions of the body such as:

  • Memory
  • Sleep
  • Metabolism
  • Recovery

Research-Backed Findings

1) Helps to reduce anxiety during stressful situations

Many other conventional anti- anxiety medications try to calm anxiety but also give strong sedation, whereas CBD can reduce your anxiety without giving much sedative effects.

Conclusion

Anxiety can be exhausting when you have to deal with it, but with promising results from CBD research, it becomes a natural method to alleviate anxiety.

Research on CBD oil in alleviating anxiety has good results. Studies suggest that CBD can support mood regulation through the endocannabinoid system, serotonin receptors, and brain regions involved in fear, stress, and anxiety responses.

Even though anxiety can be difficult to handle, there is a solution for it.

Before you purchase a CBD product, make sure to consult with a medical practitioner.

Ed Rosenthal: Why India Should Re-Legalize Cannabis https://smoke.vmondeika.com/ed-rosenthal-why-india-should-re-legalize-cannabis/ Tue, 08 Sep 2026 15:49:33 +0000 https://smoke.vmondeika.com/ed-rosenthal-why-india-should-re-legalize-cannabis/

I’ve spent more than 50 years fighting cannabis prohibition in the United States. Now I’m taking what I’ve learned to India.

In 1961, 13 years after its independence, India was forced by the U.S. to sign the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, which included cannabis, or in India, ganja. However, as far as cannabis was concerned, there were some problems.

A little background. India is one of the most religious countries I have ever visited. Although its population includes one of the world’s largest Muslim populations, around 200 million, most Indians are Hindus. Simplifying the Hindu religion, there are three main gods that are worshipped. The beloved god Shiva uses cannabis in the form of bhang, a drink made by concentrating leaves. On holy days honoring him, people who are generally non-users partake in bhang, a concoction made by boiling a concentration of marijuana. At many times, many people all over the country use cannabis as either bud or charas, a hand-rubbed hash. Only now it’s illegal.

The beloved god Shiva. Photo by Ed Rosenthal.

The government signed the UN treaty with a caveat: it would have 25 years to clean up its act, so ganja would become illegal in 1986, years after the present government would become history. Perhaps they thought that the world would also come to its senses and reverse the treaty. It was criminalized in 1986.

I’ve gone back to India periodically, but the situation regarding cannabis has gotten worse.

Also read: Ed Rosenthal: Nepal’s Cannabis Laws Are ‘an Insult to Shiva.’ Nixon’s War on Drugs Forced Them.

In 2025, I Updated a small photo book of my 1980 trip, when I documented a large legal government-regulated harvest. “Ganja in India” is available on my site.

That lit a spark in me. It was legal for thousands of years. It’s a part of their religion. And the people of India are suffering because of a misguided policy thrust on them at U.S. insistence. This just isn’t right. India needs RE-LEGALIZATION.

High Times Vault

India didn’t need to be saved from cannabis. It needs to be saved from prohibition.

At the same time, I foresaw another problem facing the nation. It’s speculated that cannabis originated in the Chinese Himalayas, about 1,500 to 2,000 miles from Arunachal Pradesh, the Indian state closest to that point of origin, in the northeast.

The reason I’m bringing this up is because of one of the “laws” of evolution: the closer to the point of origination, the more genetic variation. So there is most likely more genetic variance in landraces and feral cannabis in Arunachal Pradesh than in the varieties popular in the U.S. today. It’s important that the genetics are saved before they become corrupted with western genetics.

Now, I’m not saying that farmers shouldn’t grow western varieties if they wish, just that the genetics are preserved for breeding and research before western varieties spread to the mountains.

This brings me back to why I’m writing this. As the Vietnam War came to an end, Yippies took more of an interest in legalization and started smoke-ins, conventions, political activism, initiatives and the like. We were the UnNorml. In 1972, only 13% of the U.S. population thought marijuana should be legal. Now we are the majority. California’s landmark 1996 Prop 215 Medical Marijuana Initiative was created by Yippie Dennis Peron, known for opening the world’s first dispensary, helping HIV patients when there were no drugs to help.

Ed Rosenthal at the 1992 Midwest Harvest Festival. Photo by Gregory Daurer.

Times have changed and the mop-up efforts for full legalization in the U.S. are moving ahead. In truth, I’m not needed here. There are others much better at working out the details. But in India…

So I felt a moral imperative to help there, both in preserving the genetics, which has worldwide importance, as well as to RE-LEGALIZE. It’s a tempting target. India has a population of 1.5 billion people, four times the number in the U.S. You could say that the U.S. was sort of a warm-up. But the struggle to legalize in the U.S. is more than 50 years old. I don’t have that much time, so it must happen faster there.

High Times Strains

I see us there as cheerleaders, encouraging activists and their supporters, as well as medical patients and those involved in ancillary businesses, to help change the laws. And it’s beginning to happen, so we’re very encouraged. We’ll keep you apprised of our travels on an irregular but often basis soon after we arrive in India. Our plan is to start by heading to the Himalayas looking for rare genetics.

High in the Himalayas, Ed Rosenthal on a phenohunt. Photo by Jane Klein.

The effort that we are putting into these projects is our thanks for all that cannabis has done for us: an interesting life, contributing to the well-being of others, teaching people how to grow, and a whole lot of fun. For the last few years, we have borne the expense of these projects. Now that we have shown that our program has proven positive impact, we are asking for your help to enlarge its scope and help RE-LEGALIZE India.

If cannabis has played a meaningful part in your life, you might consider this. India was the birthplace of cannabis use, forced to outlaw it by the U.S. Let’s help them get past these onerous policies.

Please help Green Aid free the weed in India.

India gave cannabis to the world. Let’s help India take it back.

CBD Oil for Migraines and Headaches – Buy CBD Oil India | Licensed Under Ministry of Ayush https://smoke.vmondeika.com/cbd-oil-for-migraines-and-headaches-buy-cbd-oil-india-licensed-under-ministry-of-ayush/ Fri, 04 Sep 2026 16:55:23 +0000 https://smoke.vmondeika.com/cbd-oil-for-migraines-and-headaches-buy-cbd-oil-india-licensed-under-ministry-of-ayush/

Headaches happen during migraine attacks but they are just a symptom of it.

Then what is migraine? Well…

Migraine is a disorder.

“Migraine is a widespread neurological disorder, affecting approximately 1 billion people” Study.

Specifically, migraine is a disorder of the brain and the nervous system. It makes people unable to function in their lives due to it’s severe effects. Many migraine patient turn towards synthetic pills but they don’t get relief. We’ll discuss a natural solution that can help you deal with migraine.

What causes Migraine?

Scientific studies can’t pinpoint the root cause of migraine. But when you look at the patterns of people who experience migraines, they can be traced back to triggers or lifestyle decisions that disrupt your body’s homeostasis; these include:

Hormonal Changes

Medications or periods can affect the body’s hormones. The natural workings of the hormones get side tracked and result in unwanted effects like migraine.

Stress

Experiencing high levels of stress can disrupt homeostasis and also cause migraines.

Skipping Meals

Your body needs food to convert into energy. When you skip meals, this causes low blood sugar and can trigger a migraine attack.

Low Hydration

Water is needed to deliver nutrients to cells, support digestion, lubricate joints, and regulate body temperature. Low water levels in your body can slow down or even disrupt its natural processes.

“Those big fluctuations in blood glucose levels could induce release of stress hormones, which can affect migraine,” Margaret Slavin, PhD, RDN,

Sleep Deprivation

Poor sleep quality can trigger migraine because sleep restores many of the bodily functions, including memory, mood, and immunity. When you don’t get proper sleep your body can’t flush out neurotoxins from your brain that have been accumulated throughout the day. The uncleaned neurotoxins can increase the likelihood of migraine attacks.

Foods and Drinks

Certain foods, mostly processed foods and drinks with alcohol, can trigger migraines. But how to know if one is experiencing migraine? you can learn about the common signs of migraine for this.

Signs of Migraines

When people experience migraines they get:

  • Vomits
  • Dizziness
  • Hectic headaches
  • Pain in the face and neck
  • Light and sound sensitivity
  • Unexplained fatigue/lethargy

Some individuals get different types of migraines.

Types of Migraine

Migraines are of two types:

  1. Episodic Migraine
  2. Chronic Migraine

Episodic Migraine – According to studies, episodic migraine happens up to 14 times a month.

Chronic Migraine – Chronic migraine happens 15 or more times per month.

Migraines can also be categorized into different levels, which have their respective pain intensity levels. Let’s have a look at the different intensities of migraine.

Migraine Intensity Scale

There are 4 levels of Intensity to migraine.

1st Level :Little or no intensity – There is almost no pain.

2nd Level : Mild Intensity –  Persistent pain can be felt, but it can be managed.

3rd Level :Moderate Intensity – Throbbing pain that comes along with light sensitivity and nausea.

4th Level : High Intensity – Severe Pain, vomiting, and dizziness; these make it very difficult to function.

Migraines and headaches, no matter the intensity, can be prevented when you have the right approach.

How to Prevent Migraines and Headaches

Migraines and headaches can be triggered due to many reasons, but the root cause is the same.

The key action to stop migraines and headaches is to keep your body in homeostasis.

For that, you need to be:

  • Be calm
  • Get quality sleep
  • Don’t exert too much in physical activity.
  • Avoid foods and drinks that trigger migraines.

Or you can try CBD.

What is CBD?

CBD is an active compound found in the cannabis plant, along with many other cannabinoids like THC, CBN, CBG, and many more.

CBD has medicinal properties such as:

  • Anti Anxiety
  • Anti depressant
  • Analgesic (pain relief)
  • Calming effect for sleep
  • Neuroprotective properties

Migraines can be prevented with the help of CBD because they help to keep your body in a state of homeostasis (balance) by interacting with the ECS.

What exactly is the ECS?

The ECS is a complex cell signaling system that controls important body functions including:

  • Mood
  • Memory
  • Metabolism
  • Sleep and much more

When the ECS gets unbalanced, you are more prone to experience ailments like migraines. However, CBD has calming effects that help to keep you relaxed by binding with pain receptors and easing the pain. It also slows down the breakdown of anandamide (the bliss molecule), which keeps your mood balanced.

But you need a good CBD extract.

You need a full-spectrum CBD extract.

The full-spectrum CBD extract contains all cannabinoids of the cannabis plant, including CBD, THC, CBG, terpenes, flavonoids, and more.

The full-spectrum CBD products have an entourage effect, meaning all the plant compounds work in synergy to produce greater effects. The THC+ CBD extracts work better than the isolated extracts when dealing with migraines and headaches due to the entourage effect.

Even if the migraine is severe, full-spectrum CBD can help you reduce the pain and prevent migraine attacks.

Doctor’s consultation

Consult with a doctor before trying any CBD product for migraine and headaches because they can guide you on the dosage guidelines.

CBD comes in different forms like oils, capsules, gummies, etc. A doctor can prescribe the form better suited for your unique situation.

Conclusion

Migraine can be difficult to deal with due to its effect on your brain and nervous system. However, you can prevent it by being in homeostasis with the help of CBD and a healthy lifestyle. CBD can help you avoid migraines with its calming, pain-relieving, mood-balancing, and other properties, which will deal with migraine triggers like stress, sleep deprivation, and hormonal disruption.

CBD for Arthritis and Joint Pain – Buy CBD Oil India | Licensed Under Ministry of Ayush https://smoke.vmondeika.com/cbd-for-arthritis-and-joint-pain-buy-cbd-oil-india-licensed-under-ministry-of-ayush/ Tue, 25 Aug 2026 16:43:58 +0000 https://smoke.vmondeika.com/cbd-for-arthritis-and-joint-pain-buy-cbd-oil-india-licensed-under-ministry-of-ayush/

What is Arthritis and Joint Pain?

Arthritis is an ailment that damages your joints. It’s the inflammation in your joints.

While..

Joint pain is pain around or in the joints, but it’s not always caused by arthritis.

What’s the difference between Arthritis and Joint Pain?

Arthritis and joint pain are related, but they are slightly different. Let’s see the key distinction between the two.

Joint pain is a symptom. It’s a sensation; arthritis is one reason you may feel it. Whereas arthritis is a diagnosis, meaning the cause of a disease.

Arthritis is the reason for the majority of joint pain cases.

Let’s dive a little deeper into arthritis.

Arthritis is an umbrella term for over 100 conditions that cause joint inflammation and pain. Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and psoriatic arthritis are common types.

Arthritis can be felt in your hands, wrists, knees, hips, ankles, shoulders, etc.

How to know if you have arthritis and joint pain? You need to know the signs of arthritis.

Signs of Arthritis

If you have any of the following, you might have arthritis:

  • Stiffness
  • Redness
  • Pain in the joints
  • Swelling in the joints
  • Warmth in the joint region
  • Tenderness or sensitivity around a joint

Types of Arthritis

Arthritis is of many types. However, the most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, and gout.

Osteoarthritis

When cartilage gets damaged, it’s called osteoarthritis. The cartilage is like a cushion for the joints, which allows for free movement, but when the cartilage breaks down, the joints may get restricted, resulting in pain and low mobility.

Rheumatoid arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune condition. In this condition, the immune system attacks the joints as it can’t distinguish between the body and foreign elements. This attack starts from the lining of the joints and is the reason for inflammation and tissue damage.

Gout

Uric Acid crystals develop in the joints because of increasing uric acid in the blood. The high levels of uric acid are called hyperuricemia. It usually happens in the big toe, like a burning sensation.

Other Causes of Arthritis

Injury

An injury, be it from sports or a sudden accident that hasn’t healed properly, can lead to degenerative arthritis.

Infection

Infections like Lyme disease can trigger joint pain and other problems such as nervous system issues, heart problems, sluggish memory, etc.

Tendonitis

Overuse of tendons can cause inflammation; this is called tendonitis. Tendons are the bands connecting the bones (joints) that are present in the elbow, heel, and shoulder.

All these things can cause arthritis, but is there an effective way to reduce arthritis (joint pain and inflammation) without relying on synthetic medications and surgery?

Yes, there is a natural way to reduce arthritis and joint pain.=

It’s called CBD.

Let’s explore this natural solution.

Can CBD help with Arthritis and Joint Pain?

What is CBD?

CBD ( cannabidiol) is one of the active compounds found in the cannabis plant. It’s one of the many cannabinoids found alongside THC, CBG, CBN, terpenes, etc.

Properties of CBD

CBD has medicinal properties such as:

  • Antioxidant
  • Anti-anxiety
  • Anti-tumor effects
  • Anti -Inflammatory effects
  • Analgesic (pain-relieving) properties

There are more medicinal properties of CBD that help with stress, sleep, and other ailments as well.

How CBD works in the body

CBD influences the endocannabinoid system (ECS), a complex cell signaling system that regulates important functions such as:

  • Regulation of the immune system
  • Relaxation of the body
  • Sleep regulation
  • Metabolism
  • Memory
  • Mood

When the ECS gets dysfunctional, the body experiences many problems like stress, lethargy, weakened immunity, and much more. But CBD makes the ECS functional, and this keeps the body in homeostasis and free from ailments.

How does CBD exactly reduce arthritis and joint pain?

The main reason CBD can help with arthritis and joint pain is due to CBD’s pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties.

Since pain and inflammation are the main signs of arthritis and joint pain, CBD becomes a good choice for helping with this problem.

The ECS works throughout the pain pathway, and CBD helps to reduce pain sensitivity.

The ECS mainly functions through two receptors: CB1 and CB2 receptors.  The CB1 receptors are densely packed in the pain processing areas like the spinal cord, thalamus, amygdala, and dorsal root ganglia. When the endocannabinoids like anandamide and 2-AG activate the CB1 receptors, the CB1 receptors reduce the release of neurotransmitters that are involved in pain signalling and decrease neural activity, meaning the transmission of pain signals to the brain is reduced.

CBD not only reaches the brain but also the pain region. It reduces the pain signals from the inflamed joint but also helps to reduce the actual pain by regulating overactive cytokines (proteins that help deal with infection, but too many can be harmful, causing inflammation and autoimmune diseases)

CBD has been shown to be effective against inflammatory arthritis in mice due to its immunosuppressive and anti – inflammatory effects, and multiple animal studies show potential.

CBD’s antioxidant properties help with reducing oxidative stress. If oxidative stress is left unchecked, it can increase the inflammation of the already present arthritis.

Recent literature indicates that 62% of CBD users are treating a medical condition, of which anxiety, chronic pain, and arthritis were the most frequent (Corroon & Kight, 2018).

-The CBD Bible

Doctor’s consultation

Before trying CBD products for arthritis and joint pain, make sure to consult with a doctor.

A doctor can help you assess your situation with arthritis and joint pain:

A doctor’s guidance will help you effectively relieve arthritis and joint pain.

Conclusion

Arthritis and joint pain can restrict you from going on trips, playing with your kids, being with your spouse, and living with ease. Since inflammation and pain are the root causes of arthritis and joint pain, you can stop arthritis and joint pain with the help of CBD’s pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties.

Can CBD Help With Depression and Mood Disorders?  – Buy CBD Oil India | Licensed Under Ministry of Ayush https://smoke.vmondeika.com/can-cbd-help-with-depression-and-mood-disorders-buy-cbd-oil-india-licensed-under-ministry-of-ayush/ Wed, 05 Aug 2026 07:32:24 +0000 https://smoke.vmondeika.com/can-cbd-help-with-depression-and-mood-disorders-buy-cbd-oil-india-licensed-under-ministry-of-ayush/

Depression is a condition in which you can’t think, feel and act properly. You feel like an empty vessel with no energy or interest in anything. Depression can make you sleep for many hours or very little.

Does depression happen out of the blue?

No. There are certain reasons due to which you might experience depression or other mood disorders.

Causes of Depression

Depression can happen due to:

  1. Environment: if your surroundings consist of violence and hopeless circumstances
  2. Personal or professional reasons can also lead to depression (Shock or trauma)
  3. Hormonal Changes and genetic reasons can contribute to making you feel depressed.

There may be reasons for depression, but help is available.

Antidepressants

People use antidepressants to cope with the problem of depression; however, they can have side effects ranging from:

  • low libido
  • Headaches
  • Constipation
  • Emotional numbness
  • Insomnia (sleep issues)
  • Weight gain/ Weight loss

Apart from antidepressants people try to use Alcohol and overeating as a way to cope with depression, but it makes things worse in the long run.

Alcohol and overeating can numb the feeling for a while in exchange for making your health worse.

Instead of using antidepressants with side effects, there is a much safer and natural way to help you with depression.

The better alternative is CBD.

CBD and Depression

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a active compound present in cannabis plant that has many healing properties used for dealing with many mental and physical ailments.

It can help you get out of depression because most individuals suffering from depression don’t have the capacity to make lifestyle changes but also stick with the changes till they feel better.

“In the treatment of complex mental health challenges and multiple diagnoses, I would often prescribe mindfulness and breathing techniques alongside medications and supplements. However, it became obvious that patients in a depressed state often didn’t have the brain motivation or mental resources to stick with a technique long enough to reap the benefits. I realised that they needed a quicker win to get to a point where mindfulness and breathwork might help them.”

The CBD Bible by Dani Gordon, MD

CBD can help you deal with depression because it has shown positive results in scientific studies such as:

Many individuals have used it for dealing with depression.

CBD’s medicinal properties include:

•  anti – tumour effects

•  neuroprotective qualities

•  analgesic properties

•  anti – anxiety and antidepressant

•  antipsychotic effects

•  anticonvulsant (used to treat seizures)

•  antioxidant

•  anti – nausea (in some people works best with THC)

•  anti – sebum and anti – acne effects

•  counteracts THC intoxication and THC side effects (very useful where medical cannabis is prescribed for patients who may need some THC for severe symptoms but who do not want to feel intoxicated).

Is water enough to hydrate you?

Or rather

Is modern water enough to keep you hydrated?

You drink a lot of water and still feel thirsty; it means you are not hydrating properly.

If you live on planet Earth, you must have faced a similar situation.

Let’s understand why this happens by understanding the science of hydration.

What is hydration?

Hydration refers to providing your body with the necessary fluids, primarily water, to function optimally.

The Science of Hydration

Your body needs water (fluids) to function properly. Many functions of the body, including:

  • Prevent Infections
  • Lubrication of the joints
  • Regulate body temperature
  • Delivering nutrients to the cells
  • Flushing out waste from the kidneys
  • Helping in the functioning of the digestive system

The important functions can only be done when there is a sufficient amount of fluid present in your body.

Benefits of Hydration

Good Hydration can prevent:

  • Dry Skin
  • Headaches
  • Constipation
  • Kidney Stones
  • Urinary Tract Infections
  • Too much thickening of the blood

When your body does not have enough fluids it leads to dehydration.

Dehydration

When there are low levels of fluid present in your body, it’s called dehydration.

Even a small drop in fluids present in your body, you may experience  headaches, lethargy, dry mouth, and poor concentration.

What causes dehydration

Excessive Training

Training for long durations or intense training makes you sweat a lot, which leads to loss of fluids in the body if you don’t refuel your body with good water content.

Low Water Consumption

Not consuming enough water throughout the day.

Other reasons for dehydration can be due to illnesses, vomiting and certain medications that may make you urinate frequently.

Signs of Dehydration – How Hydrated Are You?

Dehydration shows up in many forms, such as dry lips, feeling thirsty, dry eyes, feeling dizzy, poor focus and much more.

How to stay hydrated without harming your body.

Don’t Overhydrate

Drinking a lot of water in one go makes the water you just consumed  get out of the system in a quick time. Instead you need to make sure  you drink when you are thirsty but also how you drink water matters.

Never chug water. Instead, sip the water to avoid the quick passing of water from your system.

Drinking too much water can thin the blood and reduce electrolytes from your body.

What makes you hydrated?

True hydration is simple to achieve but many individuals aren’t aware about the sources of quality hydration.

Natural Fluids

Hydration can be achieved through natural  fluids like:

  • Milk
  • Water
  • Coconut water
  • Natural fruit juices
  • Homemade lemonade

Focus on Electrolytes

Electrolytes like sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and more are key players that make you feel hydrated. The electrolytes help your cells to absorb water giving you true hydration.

Eat your way through hydration.

Your water intake can also come from foods.

Consume foods rich in water content, such as watermelon, cucumbers, and oranges. These foods are rich in water content and also contain electrolytes. Foods with fluids are beneficial to  get more fluid from your overall diet.

Conclusion

Hydration is simple. Get your water intake through natural sources and consume in the correct manner.

Make sure to – Drink water slowly.

Eat water through foods that contain a lot of water content.

Consume electrolytes through natural sources to help your cells absorb the water and give your body true hydration.
